Centre State Drilling

General Information

Centre State Drilling is an Australian owned and operated business located approximately 1 hour 30 minutes north of Melbourne in the central Victorian region of Castlemaine. We have been in continuous operation for over 25 years, operating 3 Drilling rigs and various ancillary pump related equipment.

Originally started by Jack McMahon, the company has become a family owned and operated business that has continued to steadily grow and expand. Jack was first involved in the drilling industry in the 50’s with the advent of sampling and pressure cementing underground aquifers for the Snowy Rivers Hydroelectric Scheme. Jack’s son Dan became involved in the business in the mid 80’s and has helped grow and expand the business over the years.

Centre State Drilling now employs 7 people with more casual staff being recruited over the busy periods.

Utilising water divining skills, we can offer a no water- no charge service to our clients, virtually eliminating any risk associated with finding underground water. Our Bore and Pump packages offer the client complete “turn key” solutions to their water requirements, from irrigation to stock and domestic usage, as well as allowing us to fully guarantee the complete package. If a client ever has a problem with their bore or pump, they only have one phone call to us, rather than calling a driller who blames the pump installer, then the pump installer blaming the driller etc. Our bore and pump packages allow us to offer the highest levels of support and service to clients.

		Centre State Drilling also repairs and services existing pumps and windmills as well as a full Bore rehabilitation facility for anyone with a problem bore. Working closely with major brand manufactures allows Centre State Drilling to carry a large range of stock and offer a pump solution to almost any application.
